Posted in Uncategorized on February 6, 2012 by jayneemacksartMy most recent painting was created by my client you see below. She saw my “Island Breezy Beats” painting in another customers home and decided she must have her own. She loves to dance and has a passion for music so together we came up with an idea to have her dancing in a night club with her boyfriend. We looked through pictures and she picked out a few that really stuck out. Once she sent me a few pictures of her self and I got started!
Here Is Jonie (happy customer 🙂 ) and the painting I did for her.
This is another lighting to show you the painting. Â Once again.

A Little Taste of Comic Book “My Life”
Posted in My Art Work on April 22, 2011 by jayneemacksartWell here you have it. I finally have a few photo samples for you of the comic book I illustrated in 2010. It was printed in september and after all the fine tuning and a few changes to the script the book was published March 2011! You can find your copy of “My Life” at Angels Christian Book Store in White Rock B.C.
The comic book is about a young man who is faced with decisions of right and wrong which we are all faced with every day. Does he go to the bar with his boys or take some time to do devotions with God? Does he let his unsaved friend only hear positive feedback on his deathbed or does he tell him the truth about the universe and afterlife. We are all faced with trials in our lives and here is a guy that many of us can relate to. So If you are looking for a challenging read that also appeals to your eyes with the bright colours and lively characters than ” My Life ” is the graphic novel for you!

Most of my art that I do of people I like to make it a themed photo. because if you just wanted a drawing exactly like a photo. You would just frame the photo. Loving Lions
Posted in My Art Work on February 22, 2011 by jayneemacksartI am captivated by WildLife Cats. I think they are so strong and powerful, so fierce and aggressive yet still beautifully made and seeing these natural predators show affection and love to each other is touching.
I did this Piece for my Grandfather to complete the set I started for him. I did the Tiger one for him which you saw and now I gave him one of two loving Lions. This photo took quite some time because I sketched every single strand of hair, But although it took long I wanted to make sure I got as close to realistic as I could. Of course there are always improvements and growing to do on each art piece. Still I am pretty pleased with the outcome of the Lions.

- Cardboard Canvas Paper 8×10
- Graphite 7 and 8 HB Graphite Pencils

Island Breezy Beats
Posted in My Art Work on January 24, 2011 by jayneemacksartWhat inspired me to do this piece is the thought of the carefree Island life where your shown how to live life to the fullest and be easy. I like the idea of this Rastafarian beating his Steel Pot and a beautiful Jamaican woman dancing to the sounds of his steel pot and the breeze whipping through the Caribbean Island. I usually try to keep my colours pretty realistic but I thought of going for a different look this time. Doing their skin colours in different shades of reds/oranges and yellows.

- 2 12×36″ canvas’
- Princeton Art & Brush Co – Paint Brushes and ACRILEX Series -1″ Paint Brush
- RGM Plus – Painter’s Knife
